What is Wicca?
Wicca is a very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of thinking and life which promotes oneness with the divine and all which exists.
Wicca is a deep appreciation and awe in watching the sunrise or sunset, the forest in the light of a glowing moon, a meadow enchanted by
the first light of day. It is the morning dew on the petals of a beautiful flower, the gentle caress of a warm summer breeze upon your
skin, or the warmth of the summer sun on your face. Wicca is the fall of colorful autumn leaves, and the softness of winter snow. It is
light, and shadow and all that lies in between. It is the song of the birds and other creatures of the wild. It is being in the presence
of Mother Earths nature and being humbled in reverence. When we are in the temple of the Lord and Lady, we are not prone to the arrogance
of human technology as they touch our souls.
To be a Wiccan Witch is to be a healer, a teacher, a seeker, a giver, and a protector of all things. If this path is yours, may you walk it with honor, light and integrity.
Most Pagans are very accepting people, not only of other peoples Religious Beliefs, but also of any and all personal choices (and those
things that people have no choice about within themselves) people make about their lifestyles.
Generally we are not racist, sexist, ageist, homophobic or have any other issues with our fellow people. I personally know many Pagan people, both via the net and face to face, and have yet to come across anyone who would censure another for the way they live their life! I know of many heterosexual, gay men, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transvestite, transgender (and other types too) people who are following a Pagan Path, and all are equally accepted!
Remember the Rede, 'An It Harme None, Do As Ye Will!' Neither do we preach hatred or intolerance of anyone else following a differing Religion to our own, if they choose to belittle or attack us, why should we deign to lower ourselves to that level? The best thing to do if faced personally with that type of situation, is to smile, thank them for their concern and walk away (after all, tis only their perception of care for your 'soul' that makes them uphold their beliefs by attempting to convert you!) Remember, all paths lead to the same place, they just get there by diverging routes!
